How Searches Work

  • Unified URL Query: When you submit a search, visible fields with the class .search-field are read and appended to the page URL as parameters (e.g., &search=term, &category=ID, etc.).
  • Submit: Press Enter in any search field, or click the section’s Search/Apply button. The page reloads with your filters applied.
  • Clear/Reset: Use the Clear controls to remove parameters. This reloads the current tab without filters.
  • Show All: In some contexts, a Show All action sets the main search field to all and refreshes.
  • Visibility Matters: Only inputs that are visible are included when building the URL.

Tab-by-Tab Guides

Home

  • Overview: Redesigned dashboard with quick links and highlights from View Tracking, plus notices such as Get Started and Review prompts.
  • New Reports: Enhanced data visualization with cleaner, simpler layout showing key metrics at a glance.
  • Search: Typically passive here; use other tabs for filtering and actions.

AI / Bots

  • What you see: Cleaner table view showing bot activity (e.g., Googlebot, Bingbot, ClaudeBot, ChatGPT-User, GPTBot). Human views are separated from bot hits.
  • Bot Crawls: Track when AI systems and search engines index your content.
  • Search & Filters: Use available .search-field inputs (e.g., date ranges or types) and press Enter to refresh.
  • Tips: The interface may hide empty charts and sections to reduce clutter.

Views

  • What you see: Weekly/Monthly/All-time counts and charts for posts, pages, categories, and products (if WooCommerce is active).
  • Enhanced Filtering: More filter options including post type, title/URL, date ranges, categories, and custom criteria.
  • Better Granular Data: Detailed breakdown of view statistics with improved data organization.
  • Streamlined Interface: Sidebar removed for cleaner, more focused view of your content analytics.
  • Search & Filters: Visible .search-field inputs are included on submission.
  • Blacklist Integration: Items from your blacklist will be excluded from analytics summaries.

Referral Traffic

✨ New in 1.3.0

  • What you see: Track when real humans find your site through AI platforms and see which content gets shared or recommended.
  • AI Platforms Tracked:
    • Perplexity – AI search results
    • ChatGPT – Link shares in conversations
    • Claude – External link clicks
    • Gemini – Google’s AI assistant
    • Bing Chat – Microsoft’s AI chat
    • You.com – AI search engine
    • Phind – Developer-focused AI search
  • Reports Available:
    • Referral Traffic Dashboard – Overview of all AI referral visits with totals and unique sources
    • Referral Source Details – See which URLs each AI platform sends visitors to
    • Referral URL Details – See which AI platforms send traffic to specific URLs on your site
  • Search & Filters: Filter by time period (7 days, 30 days, all time), filter by specific AI platform, or view all referral sources.
  • Data Captured: Source name, source type, parent company, URL visited, full referrer URL, timestamp, and IP address.
  • Why This Matters: Understand how AI platforms are driving real human traffic to your site, identify your most AI-friendly content, and measure ROI from AI optimization efforts.

Example Use Case: A user searches “best marketing strategies” on Perplexity. Your article appears in results. User clicks through to your site. This visit is tracked as a “Perplexity” referral, showing you that your content is being discovered through AI search.

Blacklist

  • Overview: Manage blacklists by IP Address, City, Region, and Country.
  • Add to Blacklist: From Views/AI lists, actions can add an item (e.g., IP) to the blacklist. Matching traffic is ignored going forward.
  • Remove Entry: Click the delete icon next to an item to remove it from the corresponding list.
  • Export: Export the IP blacklist as CSV using the provided button when entries exist.
  • Search Behavior: Use list or duration filters where available to refresh the current view.

Find / Replace

  • Fields: Enter the Find value (#search) and the Replace value (#replace).
  • Select Posts: Use the checkboxes next to each result to select the posts/pages you want to modify. The Toggle control selects/deselects all.
  • Preview & Highlight: The results highlight found text in the displayed HTML for clarity.
  • Process: Click the process button to run replacements on selected posts. A processing window shows progress.
  • Safety Backup: A backup of changed content is stored automatically. If needed, click Big Fat Rewind to restore the pre-change content.
  • Search Behavior: Submitting the Find/Replace form uses URL parameters &search= and &replace= when applicable.

Site Manager

Formerly “Batch Processing” in versions prior to 1.3.0

  • Post Type: Choose the target post type (posts, pages, or products). WooCommerce product categories are supported when WooCommerce is active.
  • Methods:
    • Categories: Assign one or more categories (or product categories).
    • Tags: Assign one or more tags.
    • Delete: Delete selected posts/pages/products. You may see a Force option to bypass Trash.
  • Append vs Replace: Use Append to add categories/tags without removing existing terms. When unchecked, existing terms may be replaced.
  • Selection: Check the boxes for items to process. At least one selection is required to run.
  • Process: Click the Process button. The operation runs via AJAX; on success the page refreshes (or shows a completion message).
  • Search Behavior: Use visible filters (by category/tag/title/etc.) and submit to build the results list you want to act on.

Settings

  • View Tracking Options: Configure tracking preferences and data retention settings.
  • Performance Settings: Optimize plugin performance for your site’s needs.
  • Display Options: Customize what appears in the admin interface.
