Accelerate Display Modes

The theme displays list of posts and categories using a variety of display modes. These modes are also use by the Posts and Categories blocks to display customized lists where you need them.

  • Posts
    • Article : The article display mode morphs as the browser width decreases eventually removing the image and content as it gets smaller. Title, author info, date and content left aligned with the featured image on the right.
    • Image Grid : The image grid places image blocks in a row with consistent heights, then drops the column count as the browser size decreases. The text overlay has a white semi-transparent background.
    • Thumbnails : Works the same as the Image Grid with a smaller title (adjustable) and hidden byline.
  • Categories
    • Image Grid : The image grid places image blocks in a row with consistent heights, then drops the column count as the browser size decreases. The text overlay has a white semi-transparent background.
    • Thumbnails : Displays as a thumbnail over the category title/link, but with a CSS Flexbox layout.

Each display mode also has options for styling, positioning and sizing the objects. The Image Grid display mode also has options for how and where to display the object text as it is ovelayed in front of the image. Take a look at the Accelerate Settings Guide for more granular detail on these options.
